Coingecko & Coinmarketcap added Gaming, Metaverse, Play to Earn tags
Polkacity coingecko page now houses metaverse and gaming tags. This adds us to a select group of platforms as you can see in the gaming tag and the metaverse tag.
Gaming has been in a boom for some time in crypto and there are billions of gamers around the world. Statista reports this number to be 3.24 billion which is a real high number as there are a total of 7.9 billion people in the World as of 2021. As reported by marketwatch, gaming is now a bigger industry than movies and sports combined, thanks to the pandemic. In a metaverse or a gaming world, you get to be the main character and live through the events. Although movies have had traditionally better graphics, with the invention of new software and stronger computing power, the instant renders are almost as good as reality, let alone movie graphics. Gaming and metaverse will bring in many new users to the crypto industry and the new influx of users is expected to increase the adoption of crypto to new ATHs.
