Hi everybody, thank you for having me here today. My metaverse name is CryptoForland but you can call me Mike

I am Polkacity’s Business Development Manager.

I spend the majority of my time working on community engagement, project growth, partnerships, marketing, building long-term business relationships and that’s just naming a few of my many responsibilities. 🙃 Most importantly, having fun while working.

What is Polkacity?

CryptoForland,
People have compared Polkacity to games like GTA & The Sims but
We are creating an open-world/Metaverse video game with a virtual economy and virtual city.

Imagine a PC game where you can hang out with friends, visit real-world stores, shop for real-world items, participate in events like concerts, NFT art shows, build your own house, or build whatever you want on your land with crafting tools, own real virtual estate or run businesses.

Maybe you want to visit an arcade and play another game without leaving Polkacity?

Maybe you want to walk into one of our partner buildings and play a first-person shooter?

This will all be made possible in Polkacity.

A true game-changer when it comes to the ownership of virtual assets.

This isn’t even 5% of what Polkacity plans to do. We have big plans and we’re here to stay 💪

Who is Carmelo Milian and what motivated the team to start this project?

CryptoForland
Carmelo Milian is our CEO/Co-Founder and I want to share his exact words because I feel his passion for Polkacity and his love for the community is unlike anything I have ever seen in the crypto space.

Carmelo Milian:

I’ve been in the Fintech space for 20 years, starting in IT consulting with Microsoft to develop a streamlined approach to cloud storage when I co-founded OneCloud. I have always been passionate about the future of technology and being a part of the growing tech world.

During the pandemic, I watched my youngest play Roblox and ask for little contributions to have Robux, the currency in the Roblox world. Robux is spent on playing games, boosters, and upgrading your avatar, but what was my son getting in return for his Robux investments? Not a whole lot.

So I thought to myself, what if I created a video game that people could play and part of the game is owning land, businesses, cars, planes, anything you could dream of owning in the real world? And like in the real world, what if those assets were valuable. If they can be valuable then can they be an NFT? Then players can buy, flip, hold, or sell their NFTs and make money from them?

So to fruition, the idea of a Polka City and a virtual economy was born. So we got to work and combined the video game experience of Grand Theft Auto, the lifestyle simulation of the SIMs, and the exploding world of NFTs to create the first Metaverse of its kind. Our users earn passive income weekly from our smart contracts with the ETH and BSC. We even have some users already making liveable passive income and we aren’t even out of Phase 1.

What is playable in the beta version of Polkacity as of today?

CryptoForland,
We already have a functional Beta version of the city where you can spawn your NFT vehicle at a spawn point and cruise around town. We have basic character customization, a completely functional Art Gallery NFT (Sold Out) in which our community members have already uploaded hundreds of NFTs. These NFTS are viewable and ready for purchase as we speak in the Art Gallery.

The Polkacity Disco is another sold-out NFT where users can enjoy events, dance parties, live events, music videos, and much much more.

The newest update included,

⁃ Bukele Park — Statue of the President Of Elsalvador ( Nayib Bukele )

⁃ Character movement/Jumping

⁃ Minor graphic upgrades

⁃ Added media in the disco

There is another important question from the public and I will like to ask you
People have been talking a lot about your NFTs with APY, your NFT store, and your NFT marketplace. What are these all about?

CryptoForland
So the majority of our NFTs listed on our marketplace and NFT store, come with special in-game features and APY.

For example, if you own the PolkaCity ATM, you will earn 20% APY and the features include 50% of all ATM fees.

Users will have easy access to purchase POLC coins without leaving the game.

These ATM NFTs are sold out in our store but you might find them for sale on our Polkacity marketplace.

If you own Polkacity NFTs, you can safely & easily list them directly on our marketplace for sale.

We are working closely with a top-of-the-line website development company that will help us bring our vision and the community vision to life.
