Day-Night Cycle

The day-night cycle has been deployed and it is currently under testing since we are optimizing all the shadows and light intensity for the optimal user experience. Here is a sneak peek:

In this demo video, you see the day and night cycle along with the dynamic lighting and how building shades change as the day progresses. Polkacity will be a living city with bustling activities.

Mini-Map Integration

We have started to integrate a minimap in the game. The screenshot below shows the prototype of the Mini-Map. We will optimize the minimap to a format used in the GTA games, which will improve the in-game performance.

Chat UI

We are currently in the process of integrating the chat feature. The core functionality and UI have been implemented, but there are some UI design edge cases such as overlapping of speech bubbles which we are currently in the process of fixing.

Deployment of City Props

We have been working hard to populate our city blocks with props to give them a more natural feel. We have sped up this process. The city will not only include NFTs, it will also have props and avatars as we have a multiplayer aspect.
